Single Sign-On Integration

E-mail Print PDF

An enterprise Single Sign-On (eSSO) manages passwords for accessing applications and websites.

An enterprise single sign-on user logs in once to the network or SSO launcher via Authasas Advanced Authentication.  Once authenticated, the user has access to all applications, and each application logon is handled automatically, without requiring the user to enter a password. Many of the enterprise Single Sign-On solutions support re-authentication, whereby the user is prompted for his fingerprint, card, or other Advanced Authentication credential before SSO will submit credentials to a specific application. All Authasas eSSO plugins are tested by the according eSSO vendor and warrants a seamlessly integration of both solutions.

Some benefits for enterprise Single Sign-On solutions are:

  • Reduces phishing success, because users are not trained to enter password everywhere without thinking
  • Reducing password fatigue from different user name and password combinations
  • Reducing time spent re-entering passwords for the same identity
  • Leverage Authentication from 1-factor to 2- or 3-factor based authentication
  • Reducing IT costs due to lower number of IT help desk calls about passwords
  • Security on all levels of entry/exit/access to systems without the inconvenience of re-prompting users
  • Centralized managed password policies
  • Scalability, stability and failover functionality
  • Centralized reporting for compliance adherence
