Centralized Administration

E-mail Print PDF

All Authasas policies are configured centrally, providing full administrative control over the functionality of the Authenticore® servers and Advanced Authentication Workstations across the enterprise.Static policies, those policies that are typically configured during deployment, are configurable via Administrative Templates within the Microsoft Group Policy architecture.  Through this approach, administrators are provided the full ability to apply policies to an entire domain or based on OU location and/or group membership.

Authasas also provides a snap-in for Active Directory Users and Computer to apply dynamic policies, those policies that are more commonly modified post-deployment.  Both computer and user-centric policies may be applied to a single OU or user object, as well as multiple objects simultaneously.

The Authasas Administrative MMC Console snap-in is another tool, sharing the exact same interface as the AD Users and Computers snap-in, that provides administrative functionality without the need for Windows® AD administration tools to be installed on the administrative server or workstation.  This console also provides a snapshot view of user enrollment status and policy settings for given directory object.  All data represented in the MMC-Console may be exported to a delimited file for further analysis and reporting.

Both of these administrative tools are exceptionally valuable when a centralized enrollment strategy is implemented for enrolling user credentials via an “Enrollment Station(s)”.  This feature allows designated administrators the ability to centrally enroll users and oversee the enrollment process.
